Private celebrations
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries and parties at home or at a venue. Tell us the songs that matter to you and we will work them into the evening.
Venues & restaurants
Supper clubs, restaurants, breweries and concert series. Our monthly residency at Showtime Studio & Coffee has run every third Thursday since May 2026.
Formats
Sized to the room.
Every format plays the same book with the same musicians, so the sound stays consistent from a small dinner to a full reception.
Trio
Saxophone, guitar, bass
Light and conversational. Suited to dinners, gallery openings and cocktail hours in smaller rooms.
Quartet
Saxophone, guitar, bass, drums
The full band. For receptions and parties where guests mingle, linger, and sometimes dance.
Quartet with vocals
The quartet plus a singer
Adds the songs guests know by heart: The Girl from Ipanema, Georgia on My Mind, Fly Me to the Moon.
- Sets of about 45 minutes, with short breaks
- Volume kept to conversation level on request
- Requests welcome with two weeks’ notice

Curt Bergmann
Alto saxophone · leader
A St. Paul saxophonist whose playing favors melody, swing and space. Curt also plays with Accent Deluxe and the Minnesota State Band. curtbergmann.com
John Pohl
Guitar
John Pohl plays guitar in Take Your Time and in the Jazz Workshop Collective. He carries the melody on tunes like Stella by Starlight and There Will Never Be Another You, and his comping gives the band its warmth.
Maria Meade
Bass · vocals
Maria Meade is a longtime rock and roll bassist who has recently turned to jazz. She holds down the bass and sings the band’s vocal features, from Georgia on My Mind to The Girl from Ipanema, and still plays with Twin Cities rock and roll groups.
Jon Norstad
Drums
Jon Norstad has played jazz with saxophonist Dick Oatts and toured a five-state region with blues bands. He moves easily from a brushed ballad to a hard-swinging Oleo, and his drum solo opens the band’s Caravan.
